What’s a Musical Fort?
Look, who wouldn’t want to chill under a couple of chairs and a blanket, or a blanket fort, and listen to some music?
In all honesty, lately we’ve been listening to a friend’s weekly radio show The Bitter Sound Experience on Noisebox Radio, and my other friend’s radio show Jon.Digital on BFF.fm, and it’s inspired me to share a bit of my own musical tastes. While I once had a podcast, “about movies and sex but not together because that would be porn,” I don’t think I’m ready for my own radio show, but I figured as it’s Friday why not share a few songs on my current playlist that maybe others will enjoy.
Maybe it’s a one off, maybe it becomes its own thing, but I don’t know for now.
Music
Where I can I’ve tried to link to a Bandcamp, where that’s not possible (or I didn’t find one for the band) then I’ve linked YouTube.
So without further ado, here are a dozen of my recent musical finds and forays:
- Young Knives - No Sound and just because I like the video
- mclusky - chekhov’s guns there’s so many mclusky songs I could have put here but this one always catches me
- Chat Pile - I Am Dog Now probably the hardest of the tracks listed Milk Krayt - All The Lies, also SO GOOD
- grandson - GOD IS AN ANIMAL just enjoy
- Freak Slug - Spells makes me want to dance
- Lynks - I Didn’t Come Here for Art I only came here to dance
- St. Paul & The Broken Bones - Sushi and Coca-Cola
- Tōth - Not Broken for the romantic lover in all of us
- Fat Dog - All the Same again it was hard to choose just one track, I need to see them play live someday
- Flying Vipers - Jackals they say dubwise and it’s music to chill with
- Deep Sea Diver - Billboard Heart another for my emotional side
